Unique Photography Session Locations in St. Augustine, Florida
Being a lifestyle photographer in St. Augustine, Florida means that I get to do a lot of amazing beach sessions! However, being a creative means that I love shooting in new places and in new ways that are outside of the box. I have been able to step outside of the “norm” for several shoots this year and I am so inspired because of it! I now have a whole bucket list of new and unique session locations I’d love to shoot that I will share near the end of this post. Here are some of the really unique and creative sessions I’ve done this year! I hope they inspire you to enjoy your sessions, create a shoot that feels like you and, most importantly, have fun with them!
Local Ice Cream Shop
This was a sweet couples session at Mayday Ice Creams. They have some seriously delicious locally churned ice cream and the cutest little shop! The color palette was gorgeous for a session backdrop. This adorable couple made a date of their session! Which is something I always encourage. Let loose and have fun with it! A classic ice cream cone mixed with some flirtatious silliness curated the perfect photos for these two love birds.
2. Parking Garage Rooftop
As a photographer, I’ve learned that every couple has their own unique personality. This parking garage rooftop session was casual and fun, just like this wonderful couple! Their session included some of their favorite things, pizza and skateboards! I love that this unique space really paired well with who these two are together.
3. Vintage Diner
This family knows how to rock n’ roll together! I loved how fun and colorful this session was. A vintage diner is the perfect setting for a playful session with your loved ones! It was such a cute space and really made you want to twist and shout! Which is exactly what this sweet little family did for their session! Family sessions are all about play and being yourselves. I just know this sweet mama is going to cherish these memories forever!
4. Garden House
I recently shot some mini sessions at this location. It was so full of light and life! I loved the neutral colors paired with the rich green of plant life. The wood texture and just all of it together created some beautiful photos. The perfect spot for some timeless family sessions. It was a fun change of pace from a traditional beach session!
Bucket List Locations
Shooting in so many new locations this past year has me dreaming about other possibilities! I now have a running list of super fun and creative places I’d love to capture a session at. Car Wash
If you have access to a really cool or vintage vehicle in your family, this session is for you! In my head, I envision a classic red convertible with a playful couple getting silly with the suds! Any cool car or truck could work though!
Laundromat
This idea gives me major retro vibes and would be so cute and unique for a cool couple!
Coffee Shop
Cozy is the word that comes to mind for this idea! If you’re a laid back, coffee loving couple - this could be the session for you!
Rooftop Bar/Restaurant
Whether you’re casual or fancy, I see a lot of different possibilities for this idea!
Skating Rink
Another vintage and playful vibe for a location like this!
There are endless possibilities when it comes to your photography session. Your session should be a reflection of you and your loved ones personalities! It is so fun to think outside of the box if you’re looking for a stand out session! If you’re an adventurous couple wanting to try something different, I’m your gal.
